*   001.    this is an independent and private writing blog for jacen solo of the star wars expanded universe. this carrd template and the still graphics used for it were made by the wonderful hellscommission, but all other icons/psds/graphics/etc. on this blog have been made by me or will otherwise be credited; please don’t take anything you see on it! i would also appreciate that my blog aesthetics (psd, url, icons, graphics, color scheme, etc.) not be taken or used as inspiration either, as i have worked neurotically hard on creating a specific vision for my portrayal of jacen.*   002.  due to past experiences, i am not comfortable at all with the swrpc. for this reason, i am going to be extremely selective with who i choose to follow/follow back when it comes to star wars blogs.*   003.  jacen’s main verse will focus primarily on his descent into the dark and him becoming darth caedus. of course, that doesn’t mean that i won’t write him in any other timeline or point in his life, but my main focus of this blog will be to explore his fall to the dark side. my portrayal of jacen will be heavily headcanon and plot based. mun and muse are also both 21+, so this blog has the potential to be nsfw. i will tag nsfw and main triggers, but if there’s something else i post that you would like to be tagged, please don’t hesitate to shoot me a message!*   004.  because jacen has a daughter whose mother was really the only person he’s ever loved, both of whom i will not be erasing in any verse for the sake of shipping, i do think ships with him will be difficult to navigate, but i’m still open to anything as long as mun/muse are of age and there’s chemistry. that being said, i do practice ship exclusivity, meaning i will only ship with one version of a character, and will kindly ask for my partner to practice the same with my character.*   005.  I do not tolerate any bigotry or abusive behavior of any kind. i will call it out/support call out posts if i see them on my dash.

jacen solo is the commander of the galactic alliance and is teetering dangerously on the edge of the dark side thanks to manipulation by dark lady of the sith, lumiya, believing that becoming a sith lord is the only way he could amass the amount of power he needs to protect the galaxy from an unknown being seen in a force vision of his. his fall to the dark has been a timely one, beginning with his abduction, captivity, and torture by the yuuzhan vong, in which jacen was subjected to the twisted teachings of vergere (at the direction of lumiya), who taught him how to embrace pain and the darkness that was beginning to shadow the light of his jedi will. it wasn’t long before jacen became disenchanted by the jedi order, even leaving it for five years to explore the force in other, more obscure ways. by the time he returned, he was essentially someone entirely different; detached, always wearing a carefully placed mask to hide himself and those he cares about from the ever evolving truth that his certainty in the jedi ways was failing. by nature, jacen solo has always been against violence and cruelty of any kind, and does not see either as a viable means to an end — any violence dealt at his hand is absolutely necessary in his eyes. along with hiding his rising darkness, he has been hiding a secret even more precious; that he has married the queen mother of hapes, tenel ka djo, and with her, has a daughter, allana solo, both of whom he is willing to protect at any cost. he struggles to find a balance between his duties as commander, his strengthening trust in the dark side, his failing faith in the jedi, and the love he has for his family.

* VERSE TWO: FILM ADJACENT .

jacen solo is the eldest son of han and leia, younger twin brother to jaina, older brother of ben and anakin solo, older cousin to ben skywalker. he, his sister, his brothers, and his cousin all went to train with luke at the jedi academy as soon as they were old enough. jacen loved learning and was proving to be exceptionally powerful and knowledgeable with the force, standing out brightly among the other students. but as jacen’s power grows, so does the danger he presents; lumiya, dark lady of the sith and luke skywalker’s mortal enemy who is looking for a way to best him once and for all, begins to take an interest in the eldest solo boy, sensing his immense power in the force, while at the same time knowing that snoke, a dark side force user, has been trying to coax out the darkness from his younger brother, ben, another powerful albeit less developed force user, seeing as ben had a natural darkness that was easier for snoke to manipulate and groom. she sees this as her opening to taking jacen for herself and make luke skywalker pay by turning his nephew to the dark side, waiting in the shadows for her moment to advance, all the while watching him as he becomes a powerful jedi.he and jaina become jedi knights, but mostly stay at the academy, continuing to help luke train the learning padawans, jacen becoming his cousin, ben’s, master. and it’s then that snoke’s plan to drag ben solo into the darkness takes full effect; lumiya, knowing what ben solo would do if he were threatened, plants the dark visions luke has about ben solo, which ultimately leads to the destruction of luke's jedi temple in the dead of the night. jacen, having been asleep when it was happening, is crushed under the rubble, and is presumed dead. when snoke’s first order arrives to ensure all the jedi are dead and accounted for, vergere, lumiya’s right hand who’d been working with the first order on her orders, senses jacen’s (still alive) presence beneath the rubble and rescues him — only to be brought to lumiya herself, who has other plans for him.once brought back to full health, jacen, who is now in lumiya’s captivity and believes his brothers, sister, and cousin are dead, is forced through round after round of endless torture in an attempt to break his soul. jacen, at first, fights against it valiantly; but there’s only so much someone can take before they reach a point of no return. in his time being tortured, both lumiya and vergere groom and coach jacen through the pain, teaching him to use the dark side to welcome and harness the pain (physical and otherwise) to filter raw force energy through himself; this is a cycle that is repeated over and over again until jacen begins to feel fortunate for their presences, having been made to feel like they were helping him despite them being the ones putting him through torture in their captivity. he willingly becomes lumiya’s sith apprentice, and fully accepts her teachings until he rises as the new dark lord of the sith, darth caedus.at the same time, ben solo has become kylo ren, a formidable dark side force user, who darth caedus doesn’t know is still alive due his isolation in captivity. however, caedus, now ready to force the ways of the sith on the galaxy, senses this rising dark power and is determined to snuff it out — or force it to join him in his vision for order of the galaxy.
